Often, I&T Leaders focus is primarily on the technical implementation roadmap, frequently provided by a cloud vendor (cf : the Hyperscalers’ “Cloud adoption frameworks”) : as a result, Cloud Computing is yet another IT tooling kit. And in doing so, I&T Leaders lack a concise viewpoint on the role of Cloud Computing for the business, which will result in higher cloud operating costs, disjointed management, security vulnerabilities and overall dissatisfaction.

Instead, Cloud Computing should be acknowledged as a technology enabler for the business to deliver better outcomes, such as improved time-to-market, higher margins, and enhanced customer (and employee) experience. I&T leaders must recognize that their organization’s Cloud journey will not be a rigid, linear progression and will involve developing existing or net-new capabilities across multiple dimensions : Strategy, Governance, People & Talents, Operating Model and Engineering.

In this Workshop series, we will be building on these observations : we’ll use our Accelerator “The 7 Roadmaps to Your Cloud Journey” Framework to plan for the rights Cloud capabilities, both Foundational (Strategy, Value, & Governance) and Operational (Organization, Talents & Culture, as well as Engineering ) . The achievement of our collective endeavor will be tangible outcomes and consumables : the release of the Playbook to Your Cloud Journey and the outlining of your 7 custom-tailored Roadmaps to your Cloud Journey.

By releasing Your Cloud Playbook and the foundational Cloud roadmaps - Cloud Strategy, Cloud Value & Cloud Governance - we will secure buy in from the Corporate Leadership, your Peers and your Team and we’ll be ready for the next phase.

Focus : Building on the foundation established in WorkStream 1, WorkStream 2 will empower the I&T leader seeking to formalize operational Cloud Capabilities. By releasing the Cloud Operational Roadmaps, we will be focusing on modelling your Cloud organization and its operating model, ignite an Cloud culture, nurture Cloud Talents and manage the Cloud related Change. Last but not least, we’ll focus on Cloud Engineering and the Cloud XaaS : The Cloud Migration Factory and the Cloud Services Factory that will enable scaling Cloud Capabilities for your organization and its ecosystem.
